MONTERREY, NL. - Despite four touchdown nullified the U.S. team, the All American Eagles defeated 49-26 to the selection of Mexico in the Aztec Bowl XL.
Roberto Vega did not have his best night, after suffering three interceptions that were reflected on the scoreboard, the Mexican team was outclassed by an opponent who showed a very high level as last year and offered in preseason game against Pumas CU .

Mexico took but was answered when Roberto Vega (12) connected with Heriberto Salazar (88) spiral 16 yards and the extra point by Jose Maltos (19).
But since then everything was wine points in favor of the Americans. Before concluding the first quarter Javon Williams (6) scored on a 26-yard running play now if the successful extra point (7-13).

Executive Director Terry Sullivan and have been nominated by head coaches from colleges throughout the United States to participate in the fortieth Aztec Bowl. The All American Eagles will look to defend their 2011 win 28-14 over the ONEFA Mexican National All Stars with the leadership of returning Head Coach Frank Haege and top players from all over the United States.
Some of the forty two stand out players for this years All American Eagles include: Two of the countries top Quarterback in A.J. Springer who led Sul Ross State to the NCAA Division III number 2 rankin
g in Total Offense and Quarterback Chad Hurst University of Redlands who led his team to average 47.1 points per game. On the Offensive Line look for Tom
Knowlton Concordia College-Moorhead the 2012 Mike Stamm Award Winner (MVP Lineman of MIAC) and All-NAC Pat Harrington, Wisconsin Lutheran College. In the back field several of the nations leading Running Backs, Receivers and All Purpose players including: Domique Carson, Sul Ross State University who complied 2368 Yards total 263.11 ave. per game;
Jordan Roberts University of Charleston 2167,197; John Borsellino Benedictine University -1916, 191.6 and Brett Baune FB Concordia College-Moorhead. The Head Coach for the All American Eagles is Frank Haege - Augsburg College 6 Year Head Coach and 9 Year Professional Head Coach Career; The Auggies have now had 6 very consecutive competitive seasons in the MIAC and one of the top offenses in DIII. At Augsburg, Haege's offense helped produce an NCAA career record with receiver Scott Hvistendahl, who surpassed Jerry Rice for the NCAA career receiving record. Haege was a professional coach in the Arena Football League with the New Jersey Gladiators and head coached the Quad Citie Steamwheelers to a 13-0 Season and 28 game win streak. Haege will be assisted by 6 outstanding coaches from colleges around the USA and Mexico.
