Record setting game for Stiefel and Snead in All American Bowl
Cedar Falls, Iowa April 14th, 2012 - Quarterback Danny Stiefel of Wartburg College and Wide Receiver Jeremy Snead of Central College playing together for the first time set All American Bowl records on their way to being named the games Co-Most Valuable Players, as their Stars team dominated the Stripes team 54 – 14 at the UNI Dome Saturday night.
Stiefel had 6 passing touchdowns, 1 rushing touchdown, kicked 7 extra points and made 1 field goal. Stiefels now has the following All American Bowl individual player records in a single game: most touchdowns, most touchdown passes, most points, and most extra points. While Snead's 5 touchdown receptions gives him the record for most touchdowns reception by an individual, he also was the holder for all extra points and field goals for the Stars team.
Other Players from the Star team who receiving award include: The Offensive Player of the Game went to Marcus Price (RB) Worcester State; the Jim Marshall Award went to Matt Meeks (DL) Des Moines Blaze; Charles Poland (OL) Bethany College and Joshua Stein (TE) Maranatha Baptist Bible College received the Mick Tinglehoff Award.
Danny Mueller (RB) Twin City Titans received the Offensive Player of the Game Award, Ace Collie (DB) Granite City Renegades and Will Gordan (DB) Columbia Falcons received the Defensive Player of the Game Awards for the Stripes team.
