Past Story!
The University of Chihuahua will host the Aztec Bowl XXXIX on December 3, 2011, at an event where the All American Eagles will play UACH is the basis for great football event in Latin America. The coordinator of physical activation and Recreation UACH, July Guedea Delgado, said the purpose of this event will present a quality football experience in conjunction with the state government and the National Student Organization of American Football (FeNO). He said that the specific objectives is to continue strengthening the Aztec Bowl level, develop quality events, to promote regional tourism and above all continue to project the good image of the UACH and state government.
The event will take place on Saturday December 3rd 2011 at the University Olympic Stadium from 8:00 PM, where it has scheduled a series of activities from November 28th to December 3rd this year. Among the activities referred to the November 28 flag football tournament.
The December 1st minicamp will be held, parent workshop, youth bowl and Aztec Bowl parade, the day two mini-camp games, stars and NFL clinics and Saturday Dec 3rd the Aztec Bowl to be played between U of Chihuahua and the All American Eagles.
The Chihuaua head coach UACH, Carlos Altamirano Chavez commented that "American football in Mexico has more than 100 years of history, the current bowl series had its beginnings in 1947 with the Silver Bowl where Mexicans faced military team from the United States. " But not until 1950, when he made the first Aztec Bowl (Aztec Bowl History see below) has been headquartered in Mexico City, he said. He stressed that these events come to counter the events that affect society. Altaminaro said that this is the second time that Chihuahua has hosted this bowl game and we look forward to playing the American team.
The president of the Sports Commission of the State Congress, Jose Jesus Saenz Gabaldon, argued that it is an honor that lawmakers will join this event to further promote recreational activities. He acknowledged the effort UACH being the coordinator of this event and together with the state government continue to struggle to counter the social problem that exists today throughout the country.
