All American Bowl 2008 game at the Metordome in Minneapolis, Minnesota December 20th, 2008, 2:35 PM
The 2008 All American Bowl was dominated by North American Football League players both on Offence and Defense.
Will Staple of the Minnesota Maulers was game Offensive MVP with 363 yards passing on 33 attempts and 24 completions. All 4 of his touchdown pass where 62 yards or further. Game MVP receiver was Marcus Foster also of the Maulers with 2 TD one 66 yards, while both Rashem Sharpe and Charlie Hollenback of the Twin Cities Lumberjacks each had one Touchdown reception. Sharpe’s came on the second play of the game for 80 yards. Trey Diggs and Brian Ewing both scored on the ground, Diggs was a 58 yard scamper and Ewing a 1 yard plunge. On the Stars side one bright spot was Bert Smith of MSU at Moorhead/FM Liberty with 2 TD Receptions. Final Stripes 49 Stars 14.
The Mick Tinglehoff Award for the best Offensive linemen went to Lonal Van and the Jim Marshall Award for best Defensive Linemen went to Kim Trueblood both from the St. Paul Pioneers.
Irv Cross former Philadelphia Eagle and Commentator was on hand to do the coin toss to start the game and Former Viking JT Turner Presented the awards after the game. Thank you to all the Coaches Stripes Rickie Foggie, Scott Sanbo and Keldric Stokes and of the Stars Craig Sauer Dale Heffron and Dale Nordick and game director Terry Sullivan.
